SEC Saturday Preview

As we gear up for yet another Saturday in the Southeastern Conference, we will have a day filled with a lot of key matchups and questions that have yet to be answered. One thing will stand for sure, no matter what happens the SEC will have more questions at the end of the day then at the beginning. Without further ado here are the matchups and my predictions for each game. LSU at Vanderbilt ( 12:00, SEC network):

The day starts in the West End of Nashville with an interesting matchup between the Tigers and Commodores. Both teams are coming into the game riding a bit of a losing streak and are in desperate need of a win. I see this game going in favor of the hometown Vanderbilt Commodores behind a huge game from the talented Vanderbilt guards. ( Vanderbilt 75- LSU 69) Ole Miss at Arkansas ( 2:30, SEC network): Fayetteville: The Rebels and Hogs meet Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Arkansas looking to bounce back after both taking losses this week. I have the Razorbacks winning this game in a very close game. The X- factor of the game will be Arkansas pressuring the Rebels and controlling the glass. ( Arkansas 85- Ole Miss 77) Missouri at Texas A&M ( 3:00, ESPN2)

College Station: Texas A&M is coming into this game coming off it’s first conference win of the season. Tyler Davis led the Aggies with 20 points last week in a thrilling win over Ole Miss. The Aggies will have the home court advantage and the momentum after Tuesday’s thrilling home win over the Rebels. ( Texas A&M 77 Missouri 73) Tennessee at South Carolina ( 5:00, ESPN2) Columbia: The hometown South Carolina are coming off a huge comeback win against a young Kentucky Wildcats squad. This game is highly interesting because both the Volunteers and Gamecocks have massive comeback wins over Kentucky. Chris Silva for the Gamecocks will be the difference maker for a massive South Carolina home win to give the visiting Tennessee Volunteers back to back losses in conference play. ( South Carolina 72- Tennessee 69) Georgia at Auburn ( 5:00, SEC network) Auburn: The Tigers are coming into this game after a heart breaking loss on the road in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday night. The Jungle is a tough place to play and Bruce Pearl has his Auburn Tigers primed for an NCAA tournament bid and quite possibly a first round bye at the SEC tournament in St.Louis. ( Auburn 82- UGA 73) Mississippi State at Alabama ( 7:30, SEC network) Tuscaloosa: The Crimson Tide are rolling into the matchup with the Bulldogs riding a huge win over Auburn. Alabama held off the Tigers Wednesday night after being without Collin Sexton. Alabama is looking to gain another huge conference win for an NCAA tournament resume builder. ( Alabama 76- Mississippi State 68) Florida at Kentucky ( 7:15, ESPN) Lexington: As the game of the day in the Southeastern Conference and in the country for that matter gets set to tip in Lexington both teams have a lot of questions that fans want answered. The young Wildcats and the Gators are coming into this game with not being able to find consistency, and a game of this magnitude is bound to find somebody’s mojo. The young Wildcats will show poise at home and escape with a huge win at home in front of a sold out crowd at Rupp Arena. ( Kentucky 73- Florida 70) As everybody in the South gets nestled in on Saturday expect to see more craziness than ever before. With a conference bound to get 8-9 teams in the NCAA tournament, each game day is filled with excitement and madness. Mitch Davis SEC beat writer @mitchdavis_8 on twitter
