2019 NFL Mock Draft

Writer's picture: Jake SmithJake Smith

The NFL draft is getting closer and closer and with the NFL combine in the books and most college teams pro days just wrapping up or about to happen it's the time of year where the draft board starts to shake out. A lot of talk has been about what Arizona is going to do with the top overall pick and where stars like Nick Bosa, Kyler Murray and the combine freak, DK Metcalf will go so with that we take a look at our initial NFL mock draft.

1. Cardinals

Kyler Murray, QB Oklahoma

A lot of the media says that the Cardinals are going to draft him and trade Josh Rosen. The Cardinals have made some moves that can help their QB whoever it might be.

2. 49ers

Nick Bosa, Edge Ohio State

The Niners have said they will take the highest player off the board. They are really interested in Nick Bosa

3. Jets

Quinnen Williams, DL Alabama

From a bench player to a top 5 player in draft, Williams has been a riser all year and should be an impact player for the Jets immediately.

4. Raiders

Devin White, LB LSU

The Raiders need a nice young piece on their defense to help make the move to Vegas. They get a nice linebacker to pair with Burfict.

5. Bengals (Trade up with Buccaneers)

Dwayne Haskins, QB Ohio State

I’m not really big on Haskins. He reminds me of a Jameis Winston clone. Have almost the exact body type and both have big arms. He could be a backup for a year and learn.

6. Giants

DK Metcalf, WR Ole Miss

After trading Odell Beckham Jr they need another weapon for good old Eli. The only reason they don’t pick a QB here is because they will take one later.

7. Jaguars

TJ Hockenson, TE Iowa

With the arrival of Nick Foles to Jacksonville, they want to surround him with weapons and why not get the best TE prospect since Gronk.

8. Lions

Josh Allen, Edge Kentucky

Any other year a talent like Josh Allen would go in the top 5 if not number 1st overall. The Lions need another pass-rusher to go next to Trey Flowers.

9. Bills

Jawaan Taylor, OT Florida

The Bills need to build a O-Line around Josh Allen. They went out and signed Mitch Morse to help their line out but need a tackle.

10. Broncos

Drew Lock, QB Missouri

Even though they traded for Joe Flacco, I can see John Elway wanting to have a gunslinger like he was back in the day. He could sit behind Flacco and learn.

11. Buccaneers (Trade with Bengals)

Devin Bush, LB Michigan

With losing Kwon Alexander they need a linebacker to replace him with. He can cover TE and WR.

12. Packers

Montez Sweat, Edge Mississippi State

A recent report has come out and said he’s had some heart problems but it wouldn't affect his draft stock. He’ll be a great fit in Green Bay as they are trying to rebuild their defense.

13. Dolphins

Ed Oliver, DT Houston

At this time last year he was going to be a top pick now he’s fell out of the top 10. He is a generational talent and could help start the rebuild of the Dolphins.

14. Falcons

Rashan Gary, Edge Michigan

The Falcons need another edge rusher. Tak McKinley has not been impressive so far so they could look to replace him with Gary

15. Redskins

Jonah Williams, OT Alabama

The Redskins need a pass-protector for their QB whether that be Case Keenum or if they draft a QB in the second round. Injuries prevented this team for making the playoffs.

16. Panthers

Clelin Ferrell, Edge Clemson

Panthers need a young pass-rusher to replace Julius Peppers. They just got Bruce Irvin but they need a pass-rusher that can last a while.

17. Giants (Trade with Browns)

Andre Dillard, OT Washington State

Since the Giants are all in with Eli this season they need to protect him. Andre Dillard is a nice piece to boost the O-Line.

18. Vikings

Cody Ford, OG Oklahoma

The Vikings have a horrendous O-Line and they could get potentially the best Guard in the draft.

19. Titans

Noah Fant, TE Iowa

Titans need to start looking towards the future at the Tight End because they don’t know if Delanie Walker will come back and be the Pro Bowler he was before.

20. Steelers

Greedy Williams, CB LSU

The Steelers secondary was not very good last and they might need a Corner to help build their secondary.

21. Seahawks

Byron Murphy, CB Washington

Why not start replacing the Secondary with a local guy in Byron Murphy. He could potential be superstar for the Seahawks.

22. Ravens

Marquise Brown, WR Oklahoma

Ravens after releasing Michael Crabtree and losing John Brown to the Bills they need a playmaker for Lamar Jackson to throw to.

23. Texans

Greg Little, OT Ole Miss

Texans have not had a good O-Line for Deshaun Watson and need to upgrade immediately. Greg Little will be a good starter at Left Tackle for them.

24. Raiders (Trade with Bears)

Josh Jacobs, RB Alabama

The Raiders are going all in this season on offense. They have acquired Antonio Brown, Trent Brown, and Tyrell Williams. They need a RB so this will be the best option for them.

25. Eagles

Dalton Risner, OT Kansas State

The Eagles need to look towards the future with Jason Peters most likely retiring after next season they got a nice Tackle to help protect Carson Wentz.

26. Colts

DeAndre Baker, CB Georgia

The Colts are trying to make their defense elite so why not go and get a great Cornerback in DeAndre Baker who can make this secondary elite.

27. Raiders (Trade with Cowboys)

Taylor Rapp, S Washington

After drafting Devin White to build their front they need a guy in the secondary to help make their move to Las Vegas more exciting.

28. Chargers

Christian Wilkins, DT Clemson

The Chargers need some depth in the D-Line so they draft Wilkins to help give their starters some rest if they need it. Wilkins could be a great addition to this team.

29. Chiefs

Dexter Lawrence, DT Clemson

The Chiefs need to retool their D-Line after getting rid of almost every notable name. Lawrence could be a great fit for Chiefs.

30. Packers (Trade with Saints)

AJ Brown, WR Ole Miss

After going all in on their defense, they need a playmaker for Aaron Rodgers to throw to and AJ Brown is a great fit for Aaron Rodgers and could help get Green Bay back to the playoffs.

31. Giants (Trade with Rams)

Daniel Jones, QB Duke

Like Eli, he was coached by David Cutcliffe and the Giants are getting Eli’s replacement. They trade up to get a 5th year option on him.

32. Patriots

Will Grier, QB West Virginia

His Pro Day boosted his stock, the Patriots are a team interested in him. They need to look towards replacing Brady and why not get a guy with a 5th year and maybe the best QB in this draft.
