UFC 235: The Biggest Upset of All Time?

Underdog(n)- Nothing to lose, everything to gain. March 2, 2019, will that be the date we see Jon Jones finally lose? Of course not, right? Jon Jones(23-1-1) has never lost a fight beside his DQ back in 2009 due to illegal downward elbows. Many people believe Jon Jones is unbeatable and will never see a loss in his career. Anthony Smith(31-13), on the other hand, believes differently. Our winner of the breakthrough fighter of the year award Smith is looking to defeat Jones and take the belt back with him to Nebraska. But the question is does Smith have a chance? Right off the bat, most peoples answers is HELL NO! But remember this is MMA, anything can happen!

Even the greats like Rousey and GSP saw losses in what the media called “easy” fights. Smith is riding a three-fight win streak over two legends, Mauricio Rua, Rashad Evans, and former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir. And these were no close decision wins these were two brutal knockouts and a submission. If Smith does pull off the upset without a doubt this will be one of the greatest upsets not even in MMA history but sports history. Smith virtually has no pressure on him and he is using that in his advantage. Smith made a point during a interview on UFC unfiltered podcast saying “I haven't had to answer the question if I'm taking Jon seriously, Jon has been getting asked if he is taking me seriously constantly”. Smith is comfortable, confident, and ready to show everyone why he has the nickname “Lionheart”. Today from Las Vegas, NV, the UFC’s stacked card will begin with the Exclusive Fightpass prelims at 5:30 PM CST and the main card will start at 9 PM CST. Make sure you have a TV nearby because this can truly be history and change the UFC forever.
