UFC Fight Night Preview and Predictions

Today everything is on the line as the UFC Flyweight and Bantamweight champ collide. Henry Cejudo is fighting for the whole Flyweight division for god sake. Cejudo even tried to make a deal with the boss Dana White at the press conference stating “If I win on Saturday the Flyweight division stays” Dana couldn't make a deal and replied, “we’ll see on Saturday”. Even more, the drama continues down the card as former NFL player and domestic abuser Greg Hardy is set to make his debut in the UFC in the Co-Main Event Saturday evening in Brooklyn. So without further a due here is a look at some key fights from the Prelims to the Main Event at UFC’s first ever card on ESPN+.

Hernandez VS Cerrone

Headlining the Prelims in Brooklyn we have a very interesting Lightweight matchup. The young and hungry Hernandez is looking to prove he belongs in the top 10 by defeating a veteran and legend of the sport Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Hernandez talked a tough game at the press conference and showed a huge amount of confidence. Cowboy showed that the shit talk meant nothing and he was all business. I think the youngster Hernandez will prosper and silence all doubters in the headlining bout of the prelims.

Prediction: Hernandez by TKO

Hardy VS Crowder

Well with a professional record of 2-0 Hardy has made his way into the Co-Main Event spot of the main card facing Allen Crowder. Ever since Hardy made his heavyweight debut in MMA there really hasn't been much talk of his actual fights but of his horrific past. Hardy is a Ex Dallas Cowboys player who was released from the NFL due to convictions of domestic abuse. The other negative of placing hardy on this card? Oh yeah, its due to the fact of recent domestic abuse victim Rachel Ostovich is also fighting. Just not a very intelligent move by Dana White in my opinion. Every press conference we are not talking about Hardy’s skills we are talking about his past convictions and how he feels about Rachel and HArdy being on the same card. There were multiple reports this week of Rachel and Hardy meeting and stopping all of the preconceived problems they could have had. So let's get back to the actual fight. Hardy’s opponent Crowder is nothing special BUT Hardy is a person who just gets in the cage and starts swinging. IF Crowder goes in with an intelligent plan like grapple and tire him out in the first then throwing a kick when he sees a opening can work. But can Crowder pull it off? In my opinion no I think both fighters will start a slugfest and Hardy will come out on top.

Prediction: Hardy: TKO

Cejudo(C) VS Dillashaw(C)

Featherweight Championship

Well, this is it your Main Event of the evening. The Featherweight Champion and Wrestling Olympic Gold Medalist “The Messenger” Henry Cejudo will be defending his Featherweight Championship and division against The Dominant Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw. After defeating Demetrious Johnson in August Henry Cejudo called out the winner of the Main Event which was TJ Dillashaw. TJ shortly accepted and because of his longing for a second belt, he agreed to move down and be the challenger for the Featherweight Belt. This fight has had me waiting since it was announced, the press conference, the weigh-ins, have all lived up to the hype. In recent news, Dana White has announced the UFC has begun cutting Flyweight fighters and will soon terminate the division. In steps Henry Cejudo, He was and still is not very fond of that idea and will try everything in his power to stop TJ from becoming the new champ at 125. This fight should be a classic and has everything to do so. Will the featherweight division go down with Henry Cejudo? Tune into UFC Fight Night on ESPN+ tonight starting at 6 pm ET on the ESPN + app.

Prediction: Cejudo wins Via Decision
