Ole Miss and Arkansas met on Saturday afternoon in an instant SEC basketball classic. These two teams fought tooth and nail with Arkansas coming out on top by a score of 76-72.
The first half went in favor of the Ole Miss Rebels, with a halftime lead of 33-27. Ole Miss was led by Breein Tyree, who had 12 first-half points and two rebounds. Breein Tyree ended the game with 27 points and three rebounds.
The second half saw both teams exchange blows with the Razorbacks of Arkansas coming out victorious over the Ole Miss Rebels. Arkansas will leave Oxford with a hard-fought road win and will look to continue their momentum on Wednesday night as they welcome the Vanderbilt Commodores to Bud Walton Arena.
Ole Miss will travel to Gainesville, Florida on Tuesday night to take on the Gators in a must-win game for the Rebels. Ole Miss will return home next Saturday as they host the LSU Tigers.
The Razorbacks were led by Isaiah Joe who dropped 34 points for Arkansas in the win over Ole Miss.
With the loss, Ole Miss will drop to 9-6 on the season and 0-2 in SEC play.
The Razorbacks will improve to 13-2 on the season, and 2-1 in SEC play.
