Heading into November, the Big Ten has 7 bowl eligible teams. Ohio State, Penn State, and Minnesota are all 8-0. Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana are 6-2. The Hoosiers will go to their first bowl game since 2016. Michigan State, Nebraska, and Illinois are 4-4 and will all likely win at least 2 more games. Like Indiana, Nebraska last made a bowl game in 2016, and Illinois is looking for their first bowl game since 2014. Below are my current projections for what bowl games each Big Ten team will make.
Ohio State: Fiesta Bowl (College Football Playoff Semifinal) vs LSU
Penn State: Rose Bowl vs Oregon
Wisconsin: Citrus Bowl vs Auburn
Michigan: Outback Bowl vs Texas A&M
Iowa: Holiday Bowl vs Washington
Minnesota: Gator Bowl vs Mississippi State
Indiana: Redbox Bowl vs Arizona State
Michigan State: Pinstripe Bowl vs Pittsburgh
Nebraska: Quick Lane Bowl vs Louisville
Illinois: Armed Forces Bowl vs Air Force
