Lexington:
Kentucky and Georgia for the SEC East crown, sounds crazy right? Not so fast my friends on Saturday, November 3rd the Kentucky Wildcats will host SEC power Georgia Bulldogs for a shot to play in the SEC Championship.
Kentucky is coming into the game having the season of a lifetime. The Wildcats have cracked the top ten in the College Football Playoff rankings coming in at number in the polls.
Without further ado here are five reasons as to why Kentucky football will beat Georgia.
Snell Yeah? Benny Snell is the leading rusher in the SEC with 935 yards on the season. Snell is a huge part in why Kentucky has been so successful. Georiga will have to plug the holes in order to shut down Benny.
Defense. They say defense wins Championships and boy oh boy Kentucky has a defense worthy of a Championship. With guys like Josh Allen and Kash Daniel, the Wildcats are a force to be taken seriously. The Cats are one of the leading defenses in the SEC going toe for toe with Alabama. Josh Allen will be the difference maker for the Wildcats.
Heart. This Kentucky team has found a way to win when all options look bleak. This Kentucky team has heart and play as their brother's keeper.
Kroger Field. This game has been sold for well over a month and one thing is for certain the Big Blue Nation will be rocking and ready to party all day long. Kentucky fans have waited their entire life for a moment like the one coming on Saturday and that let alone should push the Wildcats past the finish line.
Nothing to lose. When you’re playing a team with nothing to lose it may seem next to impossible to win especially on the road. Georgia without a doubt is an excellent team but having to play in Lexington against a team who is out to prove they belong is one of the hardest things to do.
No matter what happens on Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky fans deserve this moment. Big Blue Nation Saturday is for you! Enjoy the moment and celebrate how far the program has come since the dark days of 2-10 seasons.
