NFC Division Winners Predictions

Anthony Crennan

NFC East: Philadelphia Eagles

The NFC East has been one of the most unpredictable divisions in the NFL over the past decade. As over the past 10 years every team has won the division at least twice, and no team has won the division 3 times in a row. But the consensus is that the Eagles will remain on top once again in the NFC East. The reigning Super Bowl Champions have only improved their roster over last year and should be getting their MVP quarterback back as well. With added depth at wide receiver, defensive line, and gaining all their injured starters; the Eagles will look to roll through their competition this season.

NFC South: New Orleans Saints

The NFC South is, in my opinion, the most competitive division in the NFL this season. With the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers all with legitimate arguments that this season could be theirs, I cannot wait to see how the NFC South plays out. I picked the Saints because they have no weaknesses. With a young fierce defense, a HOF quarterback, a fierce two headed RB combination, and one of the best WR in football in Michael Thomas; the Saints are looking to go deep in the playoffs once again. But I would not be surprised if 3 teams from the division make the playoffs as the Panthers and Falcons both have the potential to put up a lot of points this season.

NFC North: Green Bay Packers

How could you bet against Aaron Rodgers?! Yes, yes, the Minnesota Vikings now have Kirk Cousins, (who was statistically worse than Case Keenum last season). And yes, the Vikings will get Dalvin Cook back and kept together their ferocious defense. But I believe if Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t have broken his collarbone against the Vikings last season, they would have won the division last season. Green Bay also added young depth to their secondary through the draft and signed a guy in Free Agency named Jimmy Graham. The Vikings and Lions are teams that could give the Packers some trouble, but I believe that Rodgers will have a MVP type season and lead Green Bay back to the postseason

NFC West: Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have come the hot team to pick with all of the high-profile names they added from; Marcus Peters and Ndamokung Suh, to Brandin Cooks and Aqib Talib, the Rams are looking to be dominate on both sides of the ball. And with Todd Gurley primed to have another dominate season running and catching out of the backfield, the offense should be explosive behind mastermind Head Coach Sean McVay. The Seahawks and Cardinals seem like they’re both on the decline, and the 49er’s maybe 1 year away from serious contention; no teams in the NFC West are looking to be able stop Los Angeles win the division once again.
