How The Dodgers Can Fill The Void Left By Seagers Injury

Writer's picture: nohuddlesportsblognohuddlesportsblog

With the news that Corey Seager is going to need Tommy John surgery and head to disabled list for the remainder of the season it opens up a big hole in the middle of the Dodgers lineup. The Dodgers have enough in-house talent to stay competitive in the NL West but if they plan on making another deep postseason run they will need to make a move as soon as possible because if the Diamondbacks keep playing the way they are it could be too late for Dodgers if they wait too long.

With the Orioles starting out as bad as they have and very little hope of improvement, they will be looking to move Manny Machado by the deadline. The Dodgers have the resources in their minor leagues to make a move for a guy like Machado and he would be a great guy to fill the void in the lineup that they will have now that Seager is out.
