Florida Upset By Vanderbilt After Another Blown Lead

Mitch Davis

Nashville: Vanderbilt stuns the Gators 71-68 in a huge win for the Commodores who have been one possession short all season. With this win, the Commodores improve to 11-16 overall and 5-9 in SEC play. On the flip side of this game, the Florida Gators showed the lack of consistency that the Gators have lacked throughout the season. The Gators dropped to 17-10 on the season and 8-6 in SEC play. Florida lead for a majority of the game, however, the scrappy Commodores clawed there way back and found a way to win a much needed SEC game. Vanderbilt has been so close all season to find a groove and the Commodores look to carry that momentum going into the final two weeks of the regular season. The Gators will look to rebound this coming week as they travel to Tennessee on Wednesday and back home to face Auburn on Saturday.

Players of the game:

Florida:

Keith Stone- 20 points, 7-11 FG, 2-3 3FG, 4-4 FT, 33 min
